About Acupuncture & Moxibustion:

Acupuncture:
In the early Edo-period, Waichi Sugiyama developed a technique using fine needles.

Considering sensitive dispositions of Japanese people, he adopted a tube to support needles: the needle tube has enabled a smooth insertion of a fine and supple needle into the body.
Since then in Japan, fine needles have been used commonly.

Our policy is to provide a “body-friendly and comfortable” treatment.

We use hair-thin needles of 0.16 - 0.24 mm in diameter.

Needles are inserted so swiftly and tenderly you will not feel pain nor experience discomfort.

You will have a better blood circulation and then feel comfortable and sleepy.

For those with sensitive skin, we may not insert needles. Instead, we may touch the skin with a needle, or stimulate the spot with a tube.

From the aspects of good hygiene and prevention of infections diseases, we use disposable needles only.

Moxibustion :
There are two ways of moxibustion: one is to put moxa directly on the skin (diathermic moxibustions), and the other is to settle moxa indirectly on the skin (moxa cautery).

Moxibustion is effective for those with a chronic pain and/or a poor circulation.

We see many people suffering from sensitivity to cold temperatures due to air conditioners or too much intake of cold things.

We mainly use an electronic machine highly simulating the thermal characteristics of moxibustion.
You will feel almost no residual smell on the hair or the clothes.

Our electronic moxibustion provides continuous and variable heat, enjoying a good reputation that you feel comfortable and sleepy.
The thermal sensor attached prevents burn injuries.

If you have severe symptoms, we may put moxa directly on the skin.
However, moxa itself is very small and gives off very little smoke, so it bears almost no marks.


Therapeutic Effect :
Acute symptoms can be cured just after one-time treatment.
Chronic symptoms, however, may need somewhat longer treatment to heal completely, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

But then, we are sure you will see a preferable change in the body after the treatment.

After the treatment :
You may feel heavy or sluggish. You can take a bath in about 2 hours after the treatment.
